Stephen Amell Archery Fan Rocks "Arrow" Prom Dress, Gets Love from Stephen Amell

When a girl decides her prom theme needs a bit of archery, it’s only natural that she’d turn to the Green Arrow for help.

According to A Mighty Girl, Danielle Taylor wasn’t thrilled about her prom’s “Sweet Dreams” theme. She decided it needed something a little more heroic – and archery-centric. “So being the nerdy person I am,” wrote Danielle in a Facebook post, “I designed my prom outfit after the CW’s Arrow, and said, ‘Prom, you have failed this high-school.’”

Danielle enlisted the help of a dressmaker, making her superhero archery dress a reality, complete with a satin green hood, a wood recurve bow, and black sneakers with green bling.

But that’s where it gets interesting. Danielle took the time – and had the courage – to share her gorgeous, hooded Green Arrow dress with Stephen Amell, who stars as the crime-fighting vigilante superhero of the show “Arrow.

Amell

Despite thousands of posts per day to his fan page, Amell took notice. Known for his willingness to engage with fans on social media, Amell wrote back on Facebook: “you look terrific! xo,” receiving over 17,000 likes for his comment. He also gave Danielle props for her “super creative” prom dress style.

Thanks to Danielle’s creativity and willingness to share her prom plight, she not only got some superhero encouragement, but also lots of excitement about her archery-focused style. According to Danielle, her friend Ashlyn styled her own prom dress after The Flash, rocking a bright red look. Together, the friends received lots of looks at prom.

Danielle noted on Facebook: “the day after I heard people asking other people if they saw the girl with the hood, and then proceeding to ask who it was! Little did they know that it was me. So a hood really does hide your identity!”

A Mighty Girl gave kudos to Danielle and Ashlyn for turning their prom into an opportunity to let their inner superheroes shine, and we totally agree! Check out Danielle’s original post here, and click here to get some archery fashion inspiration of your own.
