“The Avengers” archer Hawkeye is poised to make a return to the silver screen.
“The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the sequel to the 2012 “Avengers” movie that helped fan the flames of the current archery craze, is headed to theaters on May 1, 2015. The exciting news for archers today? The newly-released still photos from the set, showing Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye in full archery glory (above).
Wednesday’s Entertainment Weekly cover – and set photos inside – gave fans a sneak preview of what’s bound to be one of next summer’s biggest hits. Even better? This issue dropped just in time for Comic-Con. Mashable shared some of the photos, along with key plot line previews that are sure to interest fans of the franchise.
Other characters you can expect to see? Captain America and Thor, pictured above; Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch; Tony Stark’s “Iron Man,” and Bruce Banner’s “Hulk.” However, archery fans across the world are sure to be most excited about “Avengers” archer Hawkeye, who will be shooting a Hoyt bow in the upcoming film. Though his recurve bow is matte black, the specific model is unconfirmed. Any guesses?
