COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The members of the 2014 Cadet, Junior and Senior United States Archery Team (USAT) – comprising part of the National Team for archery – have been announced, bringing to a close a highly competitive 2013 event season. Members of the Para USAT will be announced after December 31.
“We are pleased to congratulate all those who are members of the 2014 United States Archery Team,” states USA Archery CEO Denise Parker. “The hard work of these athletes has resulted in a great personal accomplishment, and we are proud to have them represent USA Archery.”
USAT members will receive the highly coveted national team jersey – featuring the archer’s last name and “USA” on the back – as well as potential travel opportunities for some team members, and varying levels of product discounts based on support provided by USAT Suppliers for 2014.
For Cadet and Junior archers, the 2014 team consists of the top 5 archers in the USAT ranking for each category. Archers competed at various tournaments, including U.S. National Indoor Championships, USAT Qualifier Series Events, and Easton JOAD Nationals, to earn their rankings.
In the senior categories, the team consists of the top 8 archers from the National Ranking System (NRS), as well as the U.S. National Indoor Champions, U.S. National Target Champions and U.S. National Field Champions in each of the primary senior categories.
