Prevention, a healthy-living magazine, showcased archery as an activity that “burns roughly 140 calories in a half hour, which is the equivalent to walking at a brisk 3.5 mph pace.”

Teresa Iaconi, USA Archery spokesperson and Archery 360 contributor, said, “When done correctly, archery builds core strength, overall upper-body strength and is great for toning.”
